We spent the last few hours of Saturday pushing sharps around a few square miles of wheat stub. Had a couple coveys of 12-16 birds moving out in front of us, but had very few get inside 50 yards. But the sun setting off to the west and a line of blaze-clad hunters working a half-mile crescent of farmland made an empty bag of little consequence.
